Danny Brown Announces Headline Australian Dates for 2016

Live Nation and Niche Productions are proud to announce the return of DANNY BROWN, one of hip-hop’s hottest acts. In addition to his appearances at Groovin’ The Moo, fans of the rambunctious rapper will be treated to a series of headline shows this autumn.

Changes have been made to DANNY BROWN’s headline club shows. Brown’s Melbourne show moves to 170 Russell with no change to the show date – April 26. The Sydney show also moves, relocating to The Metro with no change to the show date – May 3. Current tickets are valid for the new venues and do not need to be exchanged. Unfortunately the final date of the tour at Perth’s Metro City will not go ahead. Perth ticketholders may obtain a refund from the point of purchase. The ticket agent will contact patrons directly to advise them of the refund process. The Brisbane show is unaffected. Final tickets for the east coast shows are on sale now.

The term “artist” is thrown around very freely but few rappers epitomize the term better than Detroit legend, Danny Brown. Known for crossing genre boundaries, Brown operates in a totally individual zone, bridging new and old sounds. His persona comes across as eccentric and avant-garde, largely due to his sartorial style and attention grabbing sense of humour.

Brown solidified his status as an emerging star in 2012 with the release of his critically acclaimed album XXX, however it wasn’t until the release of his third studio album, Old in 2013 that Brown truly entered the spotlight. Featuring massive collaborations with the likes of A$AP Rocky, Purity Ring and Schoolboy Q, Old was hailed as one of the premier hip-hop releases of 2013. Brown is currently putting the finishing touches on his latest studio album.

Joining Danny Brown on all headline shows will be Detroit rapper and painter ZelooperZ. Touring on the back of his new album Bothic (released on Danny Brown’s Bruiser Brigade Records) the album features breakout single ISBD produced by Bulletproof Dolphin, and the recently dropped follow up, a supercharged, dark club banger Elevators, produced by Black Noi$e. The track is a prime example of ZelooperZ’ ability to fuse genres, taking the listener to a humid Detroit party where anything is possible.
