RECLOOSE
One of the true standouts of Detroit’s musical litter...

A jazz musician turned DJ and producer Mathew Chicoine aka Recloose was working in a downtown Detroit sandwich shop when he made contact with techno pioneer Carl Craig by way of a now legendary ‘demo on rye’ sandwich.

Since that fateful meet Recloose has become one of the true standouts of Detroit’s musical litter. With numerous groundbreaking 12”s, the superb debut album ‘Cardiology’ and remixes for the likes of Herbert, MJ Cole and Clara Hill his productions and eclectic DJ sets have led to a busy international club circuit.

Now residing in the fertile pastures of New Zealand, Recloose is putting the finishing touches to his new album ‘Hiatus On The Horizon’ out soon on Peacefrog and joins us for an intimate session of techno jazz, deep house, broken beats and motor city soul.

Opening for Recloose are D’s on the Two. A swingin’ Sydney three piece they combine top notch jazz chops with a deep and organic dancefloor aesthetic in the spirit of Moodyman or Theo Parrish with Scott Saunders on keys, Michael ‘Touch Sensitive’ Di Francesco on bass and DJ Mako flipping beats.

Joining them are residents Nathan McLay and Somatik with Simon Caldwell, Lippo and Trevor ‘El Chino’ Parkee and laying it down across two rooms. Catch another installment from the people who brought you Rainer Trüby, Dublex Inc and The Quantic Soul Orchestra!
