Project Pablo Goes Down Under

Niche Productions are proud to welcome Canada’s Project Pablo to Australian shores in January 2017. Rooted in the warmth and shuffling sheen of house, Patrick Holland’s aka Project Pablo has built a reputation as one to watch as both a producer and a DJ and 2016 has seen Holland tour Canada, the US and Europe.

Holland took his first stab at shimmering garage grooves as 8prn. Since relocating to Montréal last year, this cool-as-a-cucumber electronic conductor changed his operating alias to Project Pablo and shifted ever-so-sincerely to chromatic house hybridizations. He rapidly certified this back to basics, digital meets analog transition with balmy, genre swapping EPs for Vancouver label Hybridity and a much touted debut on 1080p – that nascent, chiefly cassette inclined Vancouver label that Pitchfork recently deemed “ridiculously prolific.” Earlier in 2016 Holland launched his own label, SOBO (Sound of Beaubien Ouest) with a Project Pablo EP that didn’t disappoint featuring his trademark baselines, crisp drums plus warm keys and synths.

Project Pablo kicks off his Australian tour in Perth with Good Company and makes his way throughout the country finishing up at Melbourne’s Lost Weekend party.
