Robot Chicken for the uninitiated is a stop animation, short-attention-span show on Adult Swim that sits in the ten-minute gaps between full-length programs. With throwbacks aplenty it’s aimed squarely at Gen Y, so your little brother or sister probably won’t get the Rainbow Bright references. Created by Seth Green (Scott Evil from Austin Powers and the voice of Chris on Family Guy) there’s a bevy of calls in for the guest voices, from Hollywood’s A-list to the musical elite. Whereas previous seasons have won legions of fans for their satire of the icons of yesteryear, Season 3 falls just short by relying on jokes about home violence, incest and general lowbrow shock-tactics. Still, it makes for a few good guffaws of the stoner variety.
