Boozoo Bajou & Steve Spacek Sydney Show

Saturday 3rd December 2006
The Basement – Sydney

Niche Productions & Future Classic return to the Basement for a scorching summer session of dub infused dancefloor soul featuring two of the finest in the world of beats with heat!

Boozoo Bajou have been international kings of the downbeat scene for close to a decade. Their hugely successful debut album Satta on Stereo Deluxe sold over 60,000 copies with tracks featured on over 140 compilations. Since then, amongst remixes for Tosca, Trüby Trio, Common and their Duke Joint mix CD, they’ve released their new album Dust My Broom, stepping it up once again and blurring the lines between blues, soul, reggae and jazz whilst retaining their classic dub signature sound. Translating all this to the dancefloor will be one half of the duo Florian Seyberth featuring guest MC Kye.

Steve Spacek is the acclaimed voice behind the ground-breaking genre-pushing group Spacek. Imagine in the future a robot performer in love with hip hop beatology and skillful enough to twist it into new shapes, programmed with a knowledge of the biographies of Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Leroy Hutson as source material for lyric writing and you might have an idea of the Spacek sound. Robotic, futuristic, hip-hop based soul. Hot on the back of his USA tour and new album Space Shift, Steve will perform with UK beat freak Mark Pritchard aka Troubleman aka one half of legendary deepness outfit Global Communications.
