He’s the Sydney-based talent everyone will be talking about in 2021, and Asher demonstrates why he deserves all the hype with his latest single, “Manifest”. Written and produced by the teenaged singer himself, the track follows previous releases “Poppin’’, “You Got It” and “Idols”, which established his fresh take on R&B in 2020.
“I’ve always been a big believer in manifestation and I’ve always wanted to write a song detailing where I want to be in the future,” Asher say. “I wrote it as a way for me to have something to look back on in five years and see everything I have achieved.”
Born into an artistic family, Asher learnt to make beats in his bedroom, studying the sound of his favourite artists, like Travis Scott, Lil Durk and The Kid LAROI, and researching how they broke into the industry. Hoping to emulate his idols, the Byron Bay local dropped out of high school to pursue music full-time and headed south to Sydney.
With his career going from strength to strength, Asher’s confidence and star power can be seen in the music video for “Manifest”, directed by Zac Harris, which features scenes of the performer being photographed by Tristan S Edouard.
