Jack J

Jack J is an Australian-born musician based in Vancouver known for his lush and genre-blurring sonic palette. As one half of Pender Street Steppers and a co-founder of the influential Mood Hut label, Jack has played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s distinct sound for over a decade.

Just a little over two years since the release of his debut album Opening the Door, Jack J returned in late 2024 with a new full length. On Blue Desert Jack wades deeper still into the stylistically prismatic pool of his own creation: melancholy dub-funk, jangling psychedelia, moon-burnt sophisti-pop and stained glass folk mutations float freely together.

After two recently completed European tours Jack will extensively tour the USA and Canada in spring 2025 and return to Europe in summer for another string of live performances.
