With the release of their captivating debut EP Specimen, Australian 4-piece Moreton
were instantly recognized by national radio & online tastemakers as a rock act whose
music flowed at its own pace; with a sound that is at once mighty and delicate.
Marked by an undeniably stirring voice & the minimalist triumph of the band’s
rhythm section, where stories of trouble are made beautiful with shining cinematic
sounds, their brooding art-rock style and sentimental nihilism has established them a
strong cult following in the Australian music scene.

Circles, the first single from their sophomore EP has hit the ground running with
support from Triple J, Unearthed and Double J rotation, plus heavy editorial
playlisting from Spotify. The next single, released August 16th, is a heartbreaking
duet with Irish heavyweight James Vincent McMorrow, which came about after
touring together nationally in 2017. Named Best New Music by Rolling Stone,
Moreton have been nominated for multiple Qld Music Awards and were the
recipients of inaugural Carol Lloyd Award. Their second EP, The Dog Years, will be
released in Nov 2019.
