Shanae, the Australian-born South African artist, has been through a re-birth and is ready to share her journey and magical voice with the world.

Like so many young artists, Shanae started her professional musical journey putting out tracks just before the pandemic, making an enormous impact in the Australian R&B scene releasing songs produced by some of our brightest producers including Willstah (Ella Mai,OneFour) and Rory Noble (Burna Boy, Ye, Ruel).
Her deep connection to Gospel Music and Capetonian Jazz, which were musical staples in her household growing up, mixed with her love for Neo-Soul and R&B, saw Shanae’s floaty soulful vocals and thoughtful lyrics glide effortlessly over the production.
These releases saw Shanae place Top 10 in the publicly voted for ‘Acclaim Allstars Class of 2022’, saw her supporting PJ Morton across his sold-out Sydney and Melbourne shows, secured her a spot in the coveted Live Nation ‘Ones to Watch’ class, and saw her perform as an emerging artist at Big Sound 2022.

Coming out the other side of the pandemic and having been through a journey of love, loss, immense soul-searching and a name-change, Shanae is ready to share her new music with the world.

This journey of self-discovery has led to Shanae experimenting in the studio, exploring the sounds of jazz, electronic music, amapiano, and jersey to create a sound uniquely her own.
