WILSN ‘Sweet Thing’ Tour

WILSN is a Melbourne based singer/songwriter. She grew up in a musical family and started piano lessons at a very young age. Obsessed with singing, WILSN was drawn to anyone with a big, soulful voice like Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys. As she reached high-school age she began singing in choirs and school bands where she learned how to sing on big stages in front of large audiences. Her first paid gig was during her final year of school, singing at a jazz club despite being underage. WILSN then landed a coveted spot studying a Bachelor of Music at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts.

WILSN’s debut single “Unmeet You,” gained 15,000 Soundcloud plays in 10 days with no paid publicity and was added to full rotation on Double J, Triple J Unearthed and ABC. She then landed gigs supporting the legendary US soul singer Charles Bradley, as well as Allen Stone and Australia’s own Meg Mac. Her second single “Walking For Days,” was premiered on Triple J and garnered 80,000 Spotify plays in two weeks, which led to it being number 6 on “Spotify’s Top 10 Most Viral Tracks” globally. WILSN’s debut EP “Don’t Give It Up” led her to signing a worldwide publishing deal with Pulse Music/ Native Tongue and now has over 2 million streams on Spotify.

WILSN spent time in Nashville to focus on songwriting and played her debut US shows at SXSW. Life in Nashville sprouted the legs of her next EP through collaborations with established writers including Grammy winner Matthew Odmark (Jars of Clay) and the Grammy nominated Ben Abraham (Kesha, Demi Lovato, Sara Bareilles).

The first single off WILSN’s upcoming EP was released in November 2018. “Do This” resonated strongly with her fanbase and received radio play on Triple J Unearthed and Triple J.

The second single “Home” was premiered by US blog NYLON in March 2019 and gained 20,000 Spotify plays in it’s first 2 weeks as well as being added to full rotation on Triple J Unearthed and spot played on Triple J. The third single, a powerful feminist anthem called “Fight Like A Girl,” was released in April 2019 and has since been licensed to Australian feature film, “Ride Like A Girl”, due to be released on September 26, 2019. The film is directed by Rachel Griffith and stars Sam Neill, Teresa Palmer and Mick Molloy.

Shifting away from old soul, her latest self-titled EP mixes pop with soul vocals and instrumental production. WILSN has remained true to herself and forged ahead with her own stye, promising herself to only make music that makes her happy.
